The Beauty Darknet explores the labor, pain, and endurance behind ideals of femininity. Presented as a sculptural collage, it pieces together women’s images from beauty salons, clinics, and digital filters, images that, when viewed closely, distort to reveal the raw, in-between moments of becoming. The project reflects on the cost of transformation and the tension between aspiration and authenticity.
